WHEN TO VISIT
Costa Rica is always nice. The bottom line is the amount of rain, which changes from one season to the other, but the temperature remains pleasant year-round.
Costa Rica has two specific weather periods: the dry season and the rainy season, also known as the gold season and the green season, respectively.
Depending on where you are, seasons might take place in one period of the year or another. Yes! As small as it is, Costa Rica has different seasons for different regions. For example, the sunny season on the Caribbean Coast is shorter and takes place in March, April, September, and October. However, in the rest of the country, it lasts longer, normally from December to April. The green season normally takes place from May to November, with September and October as the wettest months.
